Brett Farve and the New York Jets pay a visit to Tennessee to play the undefeated Tennessee Titans this weekend, I have a feeling this will be a very tough game for the Titans to win. I hope they can keep the streak going and run their record to 11-0 against the Jets but I think the Jets will be very excited to play the last undefeated team in the National Football League. Lets hope the Titans can pull out another game and keep the win streak alive.
The Phillies won the World Series in a rain delayed game 5. I am not a fan of either team but being that I am a National League guy I was happy to see the Phillies win. Now is the time for teams to start getting ready for next season I would really like to see the St Louis Cards get a stopper to put in the closer role if they had a quality relief pitcher this year they would of won their division and the title I am sure of it. We have plenty of offense and the defense is good just injuries to the pitching staff killed us this year, and I do not want to see that happen again.
As of right now it looks like a Phillies and Devil Rays World Series. As I write this the Devil rays are up on the Red Sox by a count of 7 to nothing. I would never of thought that Tampa Bay could make the playoffs let alone make it to the world series. They were completely under my radar and I think under everyone else’s radar too. I have not paid much attention to the playoffs because none of the teams that I follow even made the playoffs, so I have been spending my sports time on football and hockey. I have to say good luck the the upstart Tampa Bay Rays, I hope they run the table on the Phillies.
UPDATE The Red Sox did come back and won this game in extra innings 8-7
The single game tickets for the Tennessee Titians went on sale yesterday and sold out in 32 minutes, even the pre season games sold out in just over an hour. There are a couple of games this year I would like to see, the Steelers play here for the first time in several years and I would like to go to that game. Season tickets are not something I would be interested in, If I am going to get season tickets I will get them for the Nashville Predators, I have had season tickets the last two years but have held of buying them this year due to the rising cost of everything. I may just pick a few games and go that route, I will miss being there every home game it was a huge part of my life and one part that I really enjoyed.
Dale Jr won a race in Michigan yesterday running on fumes, he was actually shutting his car off during yellow flags and coasting around the track where he could. That sounds like an interesting way to commute. I can see me shutting off my engine to coast up to lights and the way my luck goes it would not start when I got the green, but anyway way to go Jr hope it is not 76 races before you win again.
